Delta Sweet is the latest from Juno Award-winning songwriter & artist Patrick Kordyback, who first broke onto the Canadian music scene in 2009 as the lead singer and principal songwriter for the multi-platinum pop/rock group Stereos. With his love of sugary hooks and storytelling, plus a willingness to paint outside the lines of tradition, Delta Sweet took a major step forward in 2025 with the Mediabase-charting song “Whiskey Like You” and rotation on Sirius XM’s “Top of the Country” Channel for the song “Drive 85”. These successes were supported by high-profile performances, including the Calgary Stampede with Chad Brownlee, and Country Music Alberta’s “Next from the West” CCMA Showcase in Kelowna.
In late 2025, he signed his first recording deal with New Motor Records, and is slated for the first release with the label in February 2026. Delta Sweet was also just announced as a second-ballot nominee for the Country Music Alberta Awards (Horizon Male Artist of the Year, Music Video of the Year) in his first year of eligibility.
2026 is set up to be a banner year for Delta Sweet, packed with new music releases and performances at some of Canada’s premiere country music festivals, with many shows to be announced.
